MUMBAI: Unknown persons fired five rounds outside film producer
Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence at 12:45 am on Sunday, police said. Shetty was inside the house at the time, and no one was injured.
Juhu police said Shetty's guard, who alerted him about the incident, filed a complaint.

The motive behind the firing was yet unknown. Police found the bullet shells fired outside the producer's residence. "Forensic team and ballistic expert team has visited the spot. Meanwhile, police security has been needed outside Shetty's residence after the firing," said a police officer of the Juhu police station.
DCP (Zone IX) Dikshit Gedam confirmed that five rounds were fired and said the producer was inside his residence when the firing occurred.
Multiple teams were formed to track down the preparators.
Teams were scanning closed circuit television footage from the locality to identify the total number of persons present at the spot and how they travelled after firing. "Someone fired on the building. Zonal police and crime branch teams are investigating," the official said.
Juhu Police and crime branch teams rushed to the spot and launched the investigation.
The cops were investigating the matter and exploring every possible angle to identify the perpetrators.
A high-level meeting of the Mumbai Police was also underway regarding the incident.
A case was filed against unidentified assailants under relevant sections of the BNS and Arms Act.
Heavy security was deployed around Shetty's Juhu tower, officials said.
Rohit Shetty is a renowned director in the Indian film industry, known for superhit movies like 'Golmaal' and 'Singham'.
A similar incident took place outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's Bandra residence in 2024, when two bike-borne men fired four rounds of gunshots and fled the spot.
